RAEMISTA'S ESSAY, BY STARLYN JENNINGS
Current mood: nerdy
Category: Writing and Poetry
so my sister asked me to write an essay for her and i was bored enough to do it, but when i finished she told me should couldn't possibly turn it in! lol i think its creative and i followed the directions.. tell me what you think

-The directions were to answer this question "If i were shipwrecked on an island what kind of shelter would i need, how would i build it, and what materials would i use off the island?"

-If was shipwrecked on an island i would need a shelter that would with stand the heat, block the wind, and shield the frequent showers. I would use bamboo as frames, bananas tree leafs as shingles and walls. Assuming i would find tall grass i can tie things together. I would also gather cocoanuts and crack them in half and use as a rain catcher. The rain catcher is pretty self- explanatory. I would need fresh water. I would probably gather medium to large rocks to put around my hut as a foundation. Then i would work on my front "yard". I would gather small rocks for my fire place. Then i would gather dry grass, small sticks and chunks of wood. I would then use my glasses to ignite the fire. Note: fire place is a safe ten feet away from my hut. I would look for bundles of dry grass for my bed. I would use fresh grass & long sticks to make a cage for my super... crabs, cause lets be honest, that would be all i could catch. I would tie the sticks together. Then i would search for some bananas and tons of coconuts. I would save the coconut shells for bowls to eat out of. The final touch would be something to make me feel at home and help me keep my sanity. I would walk up to the beach and search for old fish bones and hollow sea shells. I would then do my best, with the help of fresh grass to make my little hut a wind chime.
